Consumers & Families
MTS was started by parents who were concerned about the lack of options available to their adult children. It is a nonprofit organization that supports people in pursuing their dreams. We are dedicated to making choices happen!
MTS provides both inclusive community and branch supports through employment, cultural enrichment, community connections and dynamic volunteer opportunities.
In addition to working at area businesses, MTS consumers have the choice of attending five branches located throughout Ramsey and northeastern Dakota Counties. Each branch has its own unique characteristics.
To arrange services with MTS, consumers must be eligible to receive case management from their County’s disability services division. The case manager makes a referral and an application is completed. Upon acceptance by MTS, the case manager authorizes funding for the support services.
Services at MTS can be financed through a number of funding streams. Common funding sources include the Developmental Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Community Alternatives for Disabled Individuals waiver programs, Medical Assistance, county CSSA funds and Consumer Directed Community Supports.
Come visit at one of our five branches or we can come to you to set up our CONNEX supports.
